What we collect
When you send an enquiry, we collect:
- your name, phone number and email address;
- the site address or postcode;
- whether you're a homeowner, landlord, letting or estate agent, or business;
- your description of the job, and any photos you attach.
We don't use tracking or advertising cookies. Our web host keeps short-lived technical logs (such as IP addresses) to keep the site running and secure.
What we use it for
Only to reply to your enquiry, visit the site if needed, and quote for the work. Our lawful basis is taking steps at your request before entering into a contract. We don't sell your details, share them for marketing, or add you to a mailing list.
Your enquiry is stored in our own job-management system, which is hosted in the UK. If we need a specialist subcontractor to price part of the job, we may share the job details and site address with them for that purpose only.
How long we keep it
If your enquiry doesn't lead to any work, we delete your details and photos within 12 months. If it does, we keep the records that go with the job, such as quotes and invoices, for six years after the job ends, because the law requires us to keep business and tax records.
Your rights, and how to have your data deleted
You can ask to see the details we hold about you, have them corrected, or have them deleted. To do any of these, send us a message through the enquiry form and say what you'd like us to do. Use the same name and email address you used before, so we can find your details. We'll reply within one month.
If you're unhappy with how we've handled your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
